Control Panel for Electropermanent Lifting Magnets

Electropermanent lifting magnets are systems used by sheet metal manufacturers to transport metal sheets from one location to another. They can be used for in-die sheet handling, post-laser cutting transport, and post-sizing material transfer applications.

The control panel we provide for these electropermanent magnets performs the on/off switching operation during use. A separate control panel must be purchased for each electropermanent magnet.

An electropermanent system is an advanced magnetic technology that becomes magnetized when electrical energy is applied and maintains its magnetic holding force even after the power is cut off. This feature ensures both maximum safety and energy efficiency. Electrical power is required only briefly during the magnetization (ON) and demagnetization (OFF) processes. Once the magnetic field is generated, no continuous power supply is needed.

Since there is no risk of load dropping during power outages, these systems are especially preferred in applications where safety is critical.

Technical Specifications

It is available with 110V, 220V, and 380V operating voltage options and can provide pulling forces of 5–10–15 kN, up to 350 kgf. The cable outlet can be positioned on the top or side. Upon request, it can be supplied with a terminal box and control panel.

It is designed for 50%, 75%, and 100% duty cycles and can withstand operating temperatures of up to 80°C. The body is made of steel, and the exterior surface can be produced with zinc, nickel, black matte zinc, painted, or uncoated finishes.

Thanks to its sealing capability, it can be safely used in harsh industrial environments. It is categorized under manual magnetic chucks, electromagnetic chucks, electropermanent chucks, and electropermanent lifters, with a tolerance value of ±3 mm.
