What is Demagnetization?
Demagnetization is the process of eliminating or reducing magnetic effects on a material.
Application Areas and Importance
In production processes, for example, during machining, welding, spot welding, pressing, transportation operations or machine equipment, it is necessary to eliminate the remaining magnetization on the surfaces of products. Because excessive magnetization on the surface can negatively affect product quality in subsequent production stages. For example, this condition can cause metal powders to be attracted to the surface, which leads to poor-quality coating processes. Additionally, excessive magnetization during welding can prevent the weld from being properly formed.
Required Values for Demagnetization
When the magnetization value on the material surface exceeds 5 Gauss, the material must be demagnetized.
Plate Type Demagnetization Device
Plate type, which is one of the demagnetizing devices, is carried out manually demagnetization process by hovering the products on the plate surface. This system reduces the magnetic field on metal products to the range of 0-5 Gauss. Products can be designed in custom sizes according to company and sample requirements. The device, which operates on 220V city electricity, is manufactured and delivered with a special electrical panel.

Demagnetization Process
The material to be demagnetized is removed by passing the magnetic field through the demagnetizing tunnel or through the demagnetizing plate. This process can be performed manually or automatically.
