24V - 7.5W Permanent Magnet

The Ø25x29 mm electropermanent electromagnet cuts off the magnetic field when energized and releases the material. With a working power of 24V – 7.5W and an M8 female connector option, these electropermanent magnets are frequently preferred in cranes and robotic grippers. Their use in these areas is based on an important reason. Situations where the magnetic field must not be interrupted are the most critical factor in these areas. This is exactly where permanent electromagnets come into play.

The most fundamental feature that distinguishes permanent electromagnets from ordinary electromagnets is their performance during power outages. Permanent electromagnets continue to function even when the power is off. However, the situation is different for ordinary electromagnets. When the incoming current is interrupted, the magnetic field disappears. Therefore, it would be more appropriate to use permanent electromagnets in robotic grippers.


Why Should Permanent Magnet (Electropermanent) Be Preferred?

Permanent electromagnets provide a significant advantage at this point. They allow operations to continue safely.

To stop permanent electromagnets, a short-duration current must be applied. This duration is most effectively set at 1 second. Providing energy for longer periods than this may cause the magnet's power to weaken. To ensure that performance remains consistent over the long term, this detail must be taken into account.
