Ø40x60 mm 24V Electromagnet – M6 Connected, Side Cable Exit, 100% Operational, Strong Holding Power, Continuous Use Type
Ø40×60 mm 24V DC electromagnet is a high-performance model designed for use in systems requiring long-term magnetic retention and industrial reliability.
Thanks to its 100% operating rate, it can operate continuously under uninterrupted energy, which makes it ideal for automation lines, CNC machines, electromechanical locking systems and robotic applications.
It offers easy installation thanks to the M6 threaded connection. The side cable outlet enhances cable protection and installation ergonomics.
Grade 304 stainless steel used in the housing provides long-lasting use, high corrosion resistance and strong magnetic conductivity.
Advantages
-
Suitable for continuous powered operation with a 100% working rate.
-
Thanks to its high gravitational force, it can safely hold heavy metal parts.
-
It has the characteristics of quiet, vibration-free and energy-efficient operation.
-
Stainless steel housing provides long service life and magnetic efficiency.
-
Compact design suitable for narrow-space machine assemblies.
-
Side cable outputprovides flexibility in cable routing after installation.
Usage Areas
-
Automation systems: In part fixing, transport and positioning operations.
-
CNC machines: Fixing of parts during metalworking.
-
Electromechanical lock systems: In doors, doors and security mechanisms.
-
Robotic systems: In gripping, releasing and metal surface holding operations.
-
Conveyor lines: In part handling and temporary fixing applications.
-
Industrial testing equipment: In sample lifting and magnetic retention operations.
Things to Note When Using
-
The fact that the surface is clean, flat and magnetic conductor (steel)directly affects the holding force.
-
In long-term studies temperature increase is normal; performance loss is not experienced at temperatures below 100°C.
-
The supply voltage should be full 24V DC; AC or higher voltage may damage the coil.
-
If necessary, a temperature protection sensor or a thermal fuse can be added .
Working Principle of Electromagnets
| Topic | Description |
|---|---|
| Basic Principle | When a DC voltage (e.g. 12V or 24V) is applied, the current flowing through the coil creates a magnetic field around the core and attracts metal surfaces. |
| Main Components | Coil (winding), iron core, housing, connection cables, and where needed a resin coating (heat dissipation/insulation). |
| Strength of the Magnetic Field | Current (A), voltage (V), number of windings, core material, and the cleanliness/tolerance of the contact surface determine the holding force. |
| Duty Cycle | 50% duty: Operates for a set period and then rests (for heat management). 100% duty: Suitable for continuous operation; typically a heat-resistant/resin-coated design. |
| Polarity (Poles) | When the current direction changes, the N–S poles reverse. This is an advantage in direction-controlled applications. |
| Behavior on Power Loss | Standard electromagnet: Holding force is lost when power is cut. Permanent-magnet type: Holding continues when power is cut and releases when power is applied (fail-safe). |
| Heating and Cooling | Heating occurs due to coil resistance. The correct duty cycle, adequate cooling, and a suitable mounting surface are critical for lifespan/performance. |
| Applications | Industrial lifting/holding, automation and robotic grippers, door locks, brake/release mechanisms, CNC and assembly lines. |
| Advantages | Controllable magnetic force, fast response, remote actuation, depending on the application either fail-safe release or fail-safe hold. |
