GM-20 Gaussmeter – Magnetic Field Measuring Device

A gaussmeter is used to measure the gauss level on the surface of magnets, electromagnets, and other magnetic equipment.

The GM-20 magnetometer/gauss measuring device directly measures the magnetization level of ferromagnetic materials and components during processing. It is also used for post-demagnetization measurements.

How to Use the Gaussmeter
This gaussmeter has high sensitivity; therefore, measurements should be performed by moving the probe in an east–west sweeping direction. To avoid measurement errors, the test environment must be free from external magnetic fields. During measurement, the gaussmeter is aligned with the object using the indicator mark and moved across both sides of the target surface. The maximum value observed during this movement represents the gauss level on the surface being measured.
